Job Description

We are looking to hire a Group Manager in the European Performance Reporting Team (EPRT)/US Performance Reporting Team (US PRO)The role will be responsible for working closely with the Investment Consultants, to deliver comprehensive and accurate performance reports for pension clients and related support functions.This role will support analysis and research at every stage of the investment decision, risk management and investment monitoring process portfolio of clients. The role will focus on various aspects of institutional investing, including data collection and analysis, investment strategies research, performance reporting and related investment consulting support functions. The incumbent in this role should have an understanding of the Global Capital Markets and working knowledge of various Asset Classes and Investment Strategies.The incumbent in this role will ensure world-class service delivery to the clients globally. This position manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in managing day-to-day Operations. The role will focus on:- Driving productivity across the span in the interest of all objectives and deliverables- Delivering superior service to the clients by driving and optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of people, processes and technology thereby enhancing financial performance, increasing investment capacity, and managing risks- Strategy and execution of transition of work to the center to support growth objectives- Managing relationships with senior stakeholders on location and globally, with oversight of key performance indicators (e.g. revenue growth, client satisfaction, operational efficiency and colleague retention)- Driving engagement and continuous improvement in partnership with Learning & DevelopmentWhat is in it for you - Holidays (As Per the location)- Shared Transport (Provided the address falls in service zone)We will count on you for:Service Delivery- Responsible for driving initiatives within the group and ensure the results from those with a confined focus on the timelines and quality- Own accountability by being able to help the teams troubleshoot issues in projects both on technical and business side.- Coordinate scheduled work in line with clients monthly processing time frames when team members are on leave or during team bank holidays. - Accountable for delivering a high standard of quality on all administration tasks working to relevant deadlines. - Ensure KPIs (SLA, Quality) are met , prioritizing clients at risk to ensure SLA is achieved.- Ensures pod members adhere to team procedures and use tools in correct way; - Champion client at risk/on alert process & Pulse, mentor specialists within pod to suggest new ways of working and ways to go above and beyond for at risk clients. - Monitor capacity within your pod, evidence with Client Team data where need for additional support is required or if additional support can be provided to other pods and across the team- Define and drive the standard employee measurement factors like KRAs, Mentoring and Project SLAs- Effectively manage seat utilization i.e. how we can cross utilize seats in different shift timings for different processes- Manage and lead the team preparing monthly and quarterly performance report for (Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit, Not for Profit and Additional Voluntary Contributions clients)- Extensive knowledge about analyzing performance of different investment options and overall plan- Communicate with investment and custodians to gather and/or clarify client specific data for reporting- Acts as escalation and level for the work done by the team members and providing requisite guidance- Add value to the performance reports quarterly manager commentary by assessing the performance of fund/investment strategies- Lead all aspects of delivery management as well as production support for high level deliverables in investments- Client communications and reviews, managing ramp-ups and ongoing transitions- Periodical SLA monitoring and discussion with the stakeholders- Conducting One-O-Ones and skip level team meetings- Define, delegate, monitor and participate in employee engagement activities- Own accountability by being able to help teams troubleshot issues on projects- Responsible for driving Process Improvements- Career planning and grooming of team members for next level- Manage relationship with onshore Business Process Owners and senior management; liaison with stakeholders to build relationship for service delivery management- Ensuring exceptional client experience and improving the ratings (NPS) for the team- Responsible for all performance management activities including supervision, goal setting, ongoing performance communication, employee engagement and development, review and mentoring- Project management, work allocation, real-time capacity management, peer review, process training and development of team members- Lead and manage end-to-end operations and ensure the seamless delivery of reports/projects- Play anchor role for all strategic projects and provide directions to the team - Prepare and manage KPIs and handle escalations - Participate in defining strategic priorities for the business - Focus on new capability development and branding imperatives- Lead efforts for people engagement, knowledge development initiatives for the team, and ensure adherence to compliance policy and organizational imperativesProblem Solving- Issue resolution and root cause analysis, whilst assessing the wider employee or client impact and communicate within the team. - Driving Process Improvement Initiatives and delivering results in line with Business Priorities- Suggest and implement improvements to process and delivery to ensure productivity is maintained and efficiency met. People Management- Responsible for line management of the managers - Define annual plan for trainings based on requirements of their teams- Create succession plans for D and E levels - Champion and lead engagement activities- Responsible for allocation of work and re-prioritization of work load where needed- Should act as very strong escalation resolution source for the entire team for deliverables, client and people related issuesRelationship Management- Client/Onshore relationship management and enhancement - Drive and participate in new opportunities to move work to Mercer- Be the Mercer lead on onshore / joint onshore and offshore projects- To Communicate and highlight best practice implemented at Mercer with onshore at various forums- Proactively manage client escalations/queries and maintain close relationships with The Account Management team to support on client query resolution.Note: Applicants should be flexible working in shiftsWhat you need to have: Knowledge & Skills:- Strong understanding and proper usage of investment-related terminology in written and verbal communication in English - Proficient understanding in Wealth Management, Investment Management industry and asset classes (equity, fixed income and alternatives)- Ability to work as part of a team and build strong working relationships with peers- Experience in analyzing investment portfolios or researching investment managers located outside of India- Preparing Investment Performance reports covering Asset Allocation, holdings and Portfolio Performance- Produce periodic (monthly / quarterly) portfolio performance reports for Advisory, Delegated Solutions and Mercer Workplace Saving (MWS) clients.- Computations of returns (money weighted / time weighted) for Defined Benefit and Not for profit - Exposure to Global Capital Markets and working knowledge of various Asset Classes and Investment Strategies and performance attribution- Good command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word, PowerPoint)- Problem solving skills and attention to detail- Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment, ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up-to-date- Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills- Ability to work and perform under strict deadlines and quick turnaround projects- Ability to understand the link between data, client needs and its application to the bigger picture - Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, business communication, and time management skills- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, third party tools - Bloomberg, Investment Metrics/Investorforce, Morning Star, Lipper, etc. Eligibility:- Minimum 12 years experience overall- Graduate (B.com, BBA or equivalent )- Masters Degree in finance (in addition to accounting, economics or mathematics) and progress towards CFA and CIPM will be preferredWhat makes you stand out - Proven track record of managing critical situations and scaling business- Adaptable communicator, facilitator, influencer and problem solver - High attention to detail- Good relationship skills, Proven ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team - Adaptable communicator, facilitator and problem solver - High attention to detail- Ability to multi-task and prioritize time effectively - Ability to perform under pressure and strict timelines- Exposure to coding and automation using VBA codes, Python, R etc. and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc.,
