Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Indirect Taxation In this role, you will be responsible for tax compliance, tax reporting and Month end close for various states in US. This role will report to Manager/Senior Manager-Tax, and collaborate with the Global tax team, accounting/ controllership team & financial auditors.Responsibilities: Responsible for reconciliation of indirect taxation & Handle accounting as per US GAAP. Preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual tax returns. Ensuring completion of tax return computation and filing of tax return and payment of tax. Booking and posting of monthly journal entries, reconciliations and other month end close activities. Keeping up to date with financial policies, practices, and regulations. Regular client interaction, meeting their expectation as per agreed SLA s. Monitoring and reporting on accounting inconsistencies. Support tax assessments/appeals in various jurisdictions of the state. Complying with state and federal tax regulations. Inputting data from financial records into tax return software or databases To prepare prepayment tax computation and tax assessments Coordinate with various departments, onshore team, and auditors. Must be able to navigate multiple systems and manage large amounts of data to find documentation and effectively present to auditors to mitigate risks. Overseeing tax payments and posting of Journal entries for tax payments. Assist in preparing necessary documentations for annual tax audits. Follows internal controls to ensure financial security Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to process Responsible for other related issues and tasks as assigned by direct supervisors.Qualifications Minimum qualifications CA/ CPA / MBA/M.com/B.com Significant experience in US tax reporting, tax compliance & filing of tax returns. Working knowledge of US Indirect tax laws. Strong command over Excel. Preferred qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good analytical and problem-solving skills US Indirect tax experience is a plus. Knowledge of SAP & Blackline is added advantage.
