About the opportunityAbout (Delivery Engineering)Delivery engineering team provides delivery guidelines for systems development, implementation, and support services. This team is responsible for defining end to end Delivery process of applications/products across portfolios and also takes care of Delivery tools function..Job DescriptionYou will be joining this position as Technical Specialist to strengthen the internal offerings, and work closely with delivery, architecture, network, and security teams to lay down the foundations of tools onboarding. • You will understand working model and challenges of delivery portfolios to get a better understanding of problems and work on defining tools scope, capabilities, and features.
• You will work with vendors, infrastructure, network, architecture, and security teams for smooth onboarding of tool and define approach for distribution, management, licence owning and clean-up.
• You will be responsible for exploring and onboarding of different tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Argo, Anaconda etc. while working closely with cross functional teams.
• You will be responsible for defining security processes in CI:CD pipeline.
• You will be responsible to automate security and compliance check in any new tool that will be onboarded
• You will be responsible to enable self-service in tools through automation.
• You will be responsible for coaching and mentoring your fellow team members and thrive a culture of diverse thinking, inclusivity, and flat hierarchies to value skills
Your skills and experience
• B.E./B.Tech. Or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University with 7-10 years with 3-4 years of hands-on experience on below mentioned skills.
• Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams.
• Knowledge of Agile software development life-cycle methodologies.
• Hands on experience of programming/scripting language to create custom solutions to enable faster delivery
Essential skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different levels of stakeholders.
• Experience in end-to-end cycle of tools/solution evaluation and onboarding.
• Open to face and solve new technical challenges with emerging tools and technology.
• Prior experience and strong hands on in areas of Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD.
• Experience in Security, Networking, license distribution and tracking aspects associated with developer tools.
• Hands on experience in automating security and compliance check in any tool.
• Expertise in building custom solutions using scripting language like Shell, Python etc.
• Experience in enabling self-service in tools through automation.
• Should be passionate about learning new skills, setting up processes and guidelines.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Delivery methodologies, principles, engineering practises
• Good understanding of running applications in production w.r.t. deployment, security, observability, alerts & resiliency.
• Experience of working within an Agile development environment
Desirable skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of Delivery methodologies, principles, engineering practises
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and implementation of Pipeline As Code (any tool)
• Knowledge of object-oriented language like Java, React
