Job Description

3 - 8 years of industry experience with exposure to complete life cycle of development.

Proven track record for an AS/400 related application development in ILE and preferably hands-on experience of free form RPG.

Any experience of integrating Java services in RPG code would be an added advantage.

Strong Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.

Knowledge of advanced SQL concepts (query optimization techniques, identifying indexes using Visual Explain) and AS/400 SQL programming is desirable.

Knowledge of industry standard project management and methodologies

Knowledge of trouble shooting during various phases of development.

Understanding design concepts on AS/400 platform with respect to performance.

Understanding of Web and emerging technologies.

Operates largely independently, with some guidance on complex or difficult issues

Appreciation and knowledge of other technologies used within the Retail applications

Appreciate the business principles involved in the project

Can work as part of the larger team to ensure satisfactory deliveries.

Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment

Self motivated, flexible, responsible, and a penchant for quality
