Job Description

    *In this role you will support the Senior Pricing Actuary, Global Property. You will be working as part of a global team working regularly with underwriters and actuarial team members, as well as supporting colleagues in risk engineering, finance, CAT modelling and IT and operations. We are seeking a high calibre, proactive, enthusiastic analyst with relevant experience to ensure continued profitable growth and developing talent to deliver the best for AXA XL s customers. What will your essential responsibilities include
    • Liaising with teams across Global Property to participate in a variety of projects.
    • Collaborating with Pricing Actuaries across Global Property to influence Underwriters pricing decisions through individual account pricing.
    • Training of underwriters in pricing matters, including the pricing tool.
    • Working with others to scope and implement changes to existing pricing tools
    • Maintaining and streamlining existing pricing tasks
    • Management of data collection processes from pricing tools and other sources
    • Pricing analysis and presentation of results to stakeholders.
    • Design and produce management information to assist underwriters and the management team
    • Audit the rate change and relative rate level measures being recorded and provide reports on these metrics
    • Support and ensure delivery of core tasks such as planning, variance and core pricing metrics, within a number of the property teams.
    • Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines with the team
    • Support rating algorithm reviews, development, documentation and maintenance
    • Global Property pricing dashboards development and maintenance
    , *We re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
    • Qualification level A mathematical, scientific or economics-based degree.
    • Progress towards actuarial accreditation or prepared to start studying towards actuarial accreditation
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a statistical or analytical role.
    • Very good attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate or handle large datasets.
    • Enjoys working on a variety of projects with colleagues from different teams.
    • Proactive and seeks new opportunities to develop themselves.
    • Experience in using programming languages in a commercial environment such as R, Python, Emblem, SQL, Qlikview, SAS.
    • Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to successfully meet multiple deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and part of a team.
    • Strong verbal communications skills to gain buy-in to communicate clearly and concisely with underwriters and colleagues from other functions.
    • Excellent written communication skills.
    • Strong collaborative work ethic.
    • Fluent in English
    • Fluency in French, German or other European languages would be an advantage
