Your deep understanding of our customers, technology, and business value drivers will accelerate near and long-term EG performance. Your engineering mentality and passion for building API-first developer platforms will enable EG to extend our insurance and assurance offerings to both EG brands and external B2B partners. You will be at the forefront of technology, helping to define Expedia s next moonshot in a space ripe for disruption.What you will do:

• Drive the all-up tech strategy (design, architecture, and execution) for the Insurance and Assurance domain offering a portfolio of FinTech products to travelers globally
• Inspire, support and mentor a team of engineers to innovative configurable products dynamically generated using sophisticated machine learning techniques
• Partner closely with Product, UX, and business leaders to deliver solutions that satisfy customer experience, business, and technology goals
• Build and maintain a scalable architecture enabling rapid innovation and new product development
• Utilize automation to ensure quality releases wherever possible to define a set of success metrics with automated end-end tests to measure customer satisfaction and business impact and be able to utilize them in decision-making around automation
• Use excellent judgment in prioritizing between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence
• Stay on top of customer preferences, technology trends, and market demand
• Lead the organization through change, evolution, and growth; the right leader will evolve and scale the organization along with the business

Who you are:

• Bachelors degree or Masters in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
• Experience leading technology teams building extensible platforms at scale
• Experience driving a sophisticated portfolio of Product, Tech/Engineering and Operations initiatives
• Prior experience managing leaders with the ability to inspire and be approachable
• Create an environment where people can realize their full potential
• Natural bar-raiser: curious and passionate, with a desire to continuously learn more, which you used to build an outstanding engineering organization
• Lead through coaching and humility
• Bias to action, being familiar with methods and approaches needed to get things done in a collaborative, lean and fast paced environment
