Job Description

    As a Senior Embedded Design Engineer at Neuranics Lab, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimising embedded systems for our state-of-the-art blood diagnostic devices. You will be responsible for translating technical specifications into robust and reliable hardware solutions, integrating various components such as STM32-based microcontrollers, Machine vision, FPGAs, stepper motor drivers, servo drivers, encoders, precision amplifiers, and programmable DC-DC converters.We are looking for highly passionate players who can be a teamplayer and lead in the design and development of precision digital and analog circuits, robotic systems, manufacture and assemble them. You will be working on multiple projects as a prime contributor and should also be able to provide innovative ideas on new projects.Roles And Responsibilities
    • Microcontroller and FPGA Development: Design, develop, and optimize embedded systems using STM32-based microcontrollers and FPGA platforms to meet project requirements.
    • Lead Development of machine vision cameras using CMOS sensors.
    • Motor Control and Drivers: Create motor control solutions for stepper motors and servo motors, including designing motor drivers and integrating them into the overall system architecture.
    • Sensor Integration: Integrate various sensors, such as encoders, precision amplifiers, and other relevant sensors, into the embedded systems to ensure accurate and reliable data acquisition.
    • Power Management: Develop and implement programmable DC-DC converters to efficiently manage power distribution within the embedded systems.
    • Conduct schematic design and layout of the stepper motor controller and LED driver boards.
    • Perform component selection and manage the procurement of required components.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
    • Conduct testing and debugging of the boards to ensure proper functionality and performance.
    • Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop firmware s, potentially using real-time operating systems (RTOS).
    • Maintain BOM, gerber and follow up with the manufacturer.
    Skills And Experience
    • Bachelors/Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of STM microcontrollers and experience in selecting appropriate microcontrollers and peripherals for board designs.
    • Experience with [mention any specific software tools or platforms relevant to your projects, e.g., Altium, Xilinx Vivado, etc.].
    • Proficiency in hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL) for FPGA development.
    • Experience in designing and optimizing precision amplifiers and programmable DC-DC converters.
    • [Any additional preferred qualifications specific to your company or project].
    • Proficiency in using debugging tools, such as ST-Link or JTAG, for firmware debugging and troubleshooting.
    • Proficiency in schematic design and layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle) to develop high-quality board designs.
    • Proven experience in designing stepper motor controller boards, LED driver boards, and power circuit systems.
    • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols such as IEEE 802.11 (WiFi) and Bluetooth (e.g., Bluetooth Low Energy - BLE).
    • Familiarity with WiFi and Bluetooth modules and their integration into circuit designs.
    • Understanding of antenna design and placement considerations for optimal wireless performance.
    • Analog and digital circuit analysis
    • Knowledge in EMI/EMC/ESD is a plus
