With over 1,20,000 registered sellers, Flipkart has redefined the way brands and MSME s do business online.Location North Mother Hub - Gurgaon (Farukh Nagar)About the teamMotherhub acts as an aggregation and sortation centre for moving shipments from Fulfillment centres and Seller clusters to Delivery hubs across the network.About the roleThe incumbent would be heading a facility or sub function example control tower , network design and managing middle mile operations, people and key stakeholders ensuring that the management expectations are met and the operations run smoothly without ambiguity. This person would be the bridge between leadership and the ground operations. Person would also be solving day to day operational issues and ensuring that the set targets/SLA s are met.What you ll do :
• Define track and improve on key metrics like breach, MIS shipments etc. for given region.
• Spearhead Motherhub operations for Flipkart. Specialized in resort / XD / Transport operaions Processes
• Build a culture of ownership and empowerment for MHs in that region.
• Accountable for Inventory and related asset management for the region.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the MHs in close coordination within the central and Design teams.
• Work closely with Line Haul teams in reviewing and optimization of distribution network in his region.
• Drive on-the-ground implementation of any new technology/System/Processes for the sites in his region.
• Develop, mentor and motivate the team in the region to achieve higher goals.
What you ll need:
• BE / BTech graduate (preferred candidates from Tier I/II MBA institutes)
• 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing/Warehousing/Logistics Operations
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge on Transport Management solutions (preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience in FC or Sort center is preferred.
• Having strong operational knowledge.
• Strong People Orientation and skills to manage a large team. Should have managed a large team of On-Rolls and Off rolls (200+).
