About the opportunityAbout (Delivery Engineering)Delivery engineering team provides delivery guidelines for systems development, implementation, and support services. This team is responsible for defining end to end Delivery process of applications/products across portfolios and also takes care of Delivery tools function..Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for implementing DevOps processes in every stage of Delivery life cycle.Development, testing and analysis of tools and frameworks required to enable teams to accelerate the delivery. Collaborates with Delivery and Infrastructure teams to understand the application technology, guiding/mentoring them in tools adoption, define/implement the process, creating custom solutions (if required).The role will involve working closely with development teams in India, UK and Dalian.Additional support outside India business hours is also required (including working in weekend).The key responsibilities of this role are:
• Drive cloud transformation journey in DevOps and tooling space.
• Optimisation of DevOps tools like Bamboo/Jenkin, Urban Deploy, Bitbucket/GitHub, Docker.
• Drive standardisation in DevOps space by creating standardised CI/CD pipeline teamplates
• Work closely with delivery teams to adopt standardised DevOps template created by Engineering team
• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving problems with the tools configuration and integration
• Continually seeking methods to enhance and improve upon current packaging and configurations which may require evaluating new tools as and when required.
• Create end to end integrated solution for faster building and delivery of applications.
• Create future state of integrated tool stack required for various emerging technologies
• Flexible work hours are required.
Your skills and experience
• B.E./B.Tech. Or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University with 12-15 years of hands-on experience on below mentioned skills.
• Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams.
• Knowledge of Agile software development life-cycle methodologies.
• Hands on experience of programming/scripting language to create custom solutions to enable faster delivery
Essential skills
• Expertise in designing and implementing end to end delivery process automation.
• Middleware technologies with experience on at least one language for backend programming
• Delivering API based solutions
• Worked on TDD/BDD frameworks and best practise with CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in building custom solutions using scripting language like Shell, Perl, Python etc.
• Hands on knowledge of customising release implementation process during life cycle of project and tools like Bitbucket, Bamboo/Jenkin, UrbanDeploy, Docker or similar tools
• Good knowledge of application architecture and micro-services.
• Working knowledge of Database interaction using Advance SQL, PLSQL.
• Prior experience in configuration management, Build & release management.
• Experience of working within an Agile development environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different levels of stakeholders in application delivery.
• Knowledge of on-boarding tools/solution on cloud
Desirable skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of Delivery methodologies, principles, engineering practises
• Knowledge of object-oriented language like Java, React

• Always open to learn and adopt new tools/technologies
• Experience of working to tight deadlines on a regular basis.

• Good written and oral communications skills, together with the ability to communicate with management and other business groups.
