About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionThe CFO Technology function provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal etc.Purpose of your roleThis is a challenging opportunity for senior data professionals who understand and solves complex functional, technical and architectural issues around data integrations and has the ability to understand the implication of the chosen technical strategy and ensure alignment with business context. The candidate will be expected to interact with all levels of the business and technical community, seeking approval from all stakeholders of the projects.The candidate should be an expert in ETL architecture and design as well as in data modelling, while demonstrating a keenness to master, suggest and work with different technologies & toolsets. The candidate is also expected to be hands-on on coding, so as to be an effective reviewer as well as to develop complex scenarios. The role would also involve intensive interaction with the business and other systems groups, so good communication skulls and the ability to work under pressure are absolute must.Key Responsibilities

• Define and own technical architecture and design for projects
• Help team to develop and deliver applications/components in accordance with technical design
• Help team with complex issues during development
• Provide guidance to the team on complex and emergent design patterns and technologies
• Should work on projects needing development of large and scalable applications with good performance and high availability
• Work with infrastructure teams to define the architecture stack needs like storage, security, load balancing, disaster recovery & failover
• Delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale
• Develop, implement and maintain technical standards, procedures and best practices
• Communicate with senior stakeholders, teams to articulate technology solutions

Experience and Qualifications

• BE / B-Tech / MCA
• 10 -14 years of total experience

Essential Skills

• Architecting, planning and implementation of e2e data warehouse and business intelligence systems utilizing best practices from data architecture, data integration and management areas - 2 years
• Expert data modelling skills; entity relationship as well as dimensional, designing various layers of datawarehouse - 4 years
• Data analysis, source system analysis and data mapping to target data model - 6 to 8 years
• Extensive knowledge in data integration architecture/ETL/Data warehouse, especially large volumes with complex integrations - 8 years
• Strong experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Informatica Powercenter, Unix shell scripting, Oracle 12c database optimization and scheduling tools along with performance improvement techniques across ETL technology stack with hands-on abilities - 8 years
• Good knowledge of reporting tools such as OBIEE, Tableau with understanding of different types of reporting, storytelling using visualization
• Good knowledge of emerging alternate tools/technologies like Python, Spring Integration, Big Data technologies
• Good Knowledge in Architectural and Design patterns
• Overseeing and reviewing the application design & development to ensure that it meets both the technical constraints of the architecture and the business objectives in terms of reliability, scalability and serviceability
• Ability to identify and define non-functional requirements and design systems to meet the same
• Knowledge of application architecture to ensure performance and scalability, including the identification and alleviation of bottlenecks.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills

• Experience in preparing Technical Documentation (Pseudo Code, Process Flow, Data Model, Class Diagram )
• Experience in using other ETL tools like Kettle or Talend
• Integration with cloud systems like Workday, Salesforce and Marketo
• Exposure to Data quality, complex transformation such as B2B, metadata management, etc
• Exposure and sound understanding of financial services domain - Mutual Funds, Fund accounting, Procurement
• Self-starter with ability to take ownership of end to end implementations
• Candidate must be willing to travel overseas at short notice for the duration necessitated by project needs.
