We do this by providing relevant, high quality property information, in a diligent and reliable manner.Business Contribution/Impact: It is an exciting time in the team, as we build the next generation of Property Services which will feed many of our EG brands, including Brand Expedia and Hotels.com.We are looking for a highly motivated, team orientated, development engineer to come and join our team of technologists.What youll do:Proactively build relationships with your peers and collaborate to tackle problems.Willing to explore and/or learn UI side of development in the path to become a full-stack engineer in the futureYou understand the importance of system and technology integration and the basic features and facilities involved in the integration process.Take advantage of opportunities to build new technical expertise in a specific engineering areaParticipate with a DevOps mentality - You build it, you run itDevelop and test standard software applications and related programs and procedures to ensure they meet design requirements.Work in an environment where elegant, clean, maintainable code is paramountCollaborate with partners when developing solutions to issues.Apply formal training methods to current workload and feel comfortable question the status quo.Report clearly on current work status.Who you are:Bachelors or Masters degree in a Technical field; or equivalent related professional experience. This may include: Developing software in a team environment of at least 5 engineers (agile, version control, etc.); Building and maintaining a software project/product in production environments in public/hybrid cloud infrastructure.Willing to learn and/or exposure to UI/web-development is a requirement for this role, in the eventual path to become a full-stack engineer in the future for Lodging team with primary focus on backend development.Experience working in AWS and continuous delivery practices is preferred but not mandatory.Relevant experience developing in Java/KotlinAble to understand moderately sophisticated systems.Ability to test and monitor your own code.Understanding of testing and monitoring tools.Ability to debug applications.Understanding of how teams goals fit a business needAbout Expedia GroupExpedia Group (NASDAQ: EXPE) powers travel for everyone, everywhere through our global platform.
