We take a lot of pride in what we do and how we do it.What youll do:Design and implement high performance, scalable, robust UI applications and components that support key Expedia initiativesTranslate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designsWrite code that is clean, maintainable, optimized, modular with good naming conventionsProvide code reviews to assess overcall code quality and flexibilityDrive continuous improvement and continuous delivery in our software development process within an agile development teamPractice resilience engineering for every frontend/backend component built and advocate for resilience within the teamWrite automated unit, system and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelinesTake ownership of the tasks you choose to work on which includes letting others know when you need help or make progressWork with UX, Product Management and Service Reliability teams in an agile environmentHelp design and build reusable frameworks and libraries to simplify developmentSupport live-site operations as needed as part of our DevOps approachWho you are:5+ years of experience playing key roles in technical designs, mentoring junior developers and helping to drive engineering maturityProblem solver and an excellent coder with deep understanding of JS ecosystem, interactive web application development, and performance optimizationHave solid understanding of React, Redux, CSS/Sass, HTML 5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, ExpressPassionate about quality of work, persistent and uncompromisingExperienced in delivering sophisticated UI solutions, you have worked on enterprise web portal and have helped operationalize itHave good understanding of AWS, Docker, Datadog, Looker, Jenkins, SplunkProficient with algorithms and data structures, design patterns, service oriented architecture and cachingExperience in agile/scrum teams, and a track record of learning from your actions to make positive adjustmentsVerbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise mannerSolid understanding of the software development life cycle, architecture and design, software craftsmanship and test strategiesBE/B.Tech Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline,
