A lot of time Amazon customers have to go through hassles of coordinating delivery time with carriers and are not able to receive their packages. We solve this problem for them. We allow customer to get their package (and do their returns) when and where they want. In other words, we make the package delivery asynchronous in nature. In this role, you will:
• Collaborate with other team members and partner teams to investigate design approaches, participate in design reviews, prototype new technology, and develop both customer-facing and back-end services features.
• You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts, coordinating across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions.
• Work with modern web development technologies to improve customer workflows
• Write high-quality distributed system software
• Drive best practices and engineering excellence

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• Programming skills in Java, C++ or similar
• Object oriented analysis and design skills (OOA/OOD).
• Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
• BS/MS in Computer Science or in a related field
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous architectures
• Experience building highly scalable, high availability services
• Experience dealing with performance, memory and I/O
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
• Experience applying service-oriented architecture techniques to production use cases
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
