Job Description

  • Lead the Supply and transportation planning activities for Finished goods to support the business of 350 Crore to 400 Crore
Main Tasks
  1. Planner is independently responsible for ensuring a steady level of supply of Finished goods to customer for ensuring timely supply. Based on material requirement plan -release timely production plans. Proactively report material availability issues and must resolve potential shortages or surpluses of material by managing or adjusting the production process. 750 Active Material code of Finished Goods
  1. LeadIntegrated Sales and operational Plan to Manage Business Performance issues. validation, decision and agreement on forward looking sales plans, operations plan, value & margin plans support in steering business strategy.
  1. Single point of contact from BU Supply chain to support Local business in Indian Market. Co-ordinate with all the stakeholders to support timely supply of finished goods.
  1. Maintain strong working relationships and communications directly with Production, RM Planners, Quality Control, Customised Lab, Customer service officers, Distribution and Warehousing team, Key Account Managers, Supply Chain Excellence, to ensure on-time deliveries. Responsible for own manufactured as well as products manufactured at Toller s location.
  1. Focus on operational Excellence to improve forecast accuracy, reducing express vehicles, reducing supply delays, drive production plan adherence.
  1. Plan and execute transportation inbound & outbound surface transportation requirements for BASF Mangalore EC division.
  2. Service Provider Management: Monitor and evaluate service provider performance as per agreed KPIs, and conduct quarterly reviews
  3. Improve Transportation processes through continuous improvement activities, process innovation, NCM tracking and problem solving
  4. Lead cost saving initiatives such as introduction of new modes of transportation, consolidation and reduction in detention cost
  5. Develop/ cooperate / participate in initiatives to increase efficiency in TM process from planning to costing
Minimum Education and qualification required for the Position:
  • Education:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field (Required); Master s degree in Business Management preferred.Working Experience: 7 Years atleastTechnical & Professional Knowledge:
  • Core skills:
1.Business/Process Knowledge: Excellent organizational skills, exceptional multitasking skills ,ability to drive the results and strong process knowledge are a necessity. 2. Analytical Skills: Can manage and analyze large datasets in excel, Basic Statistical knowledge3. Systems/Tools: Knowledge of APO-DP, SAP R/3, MS Excel1.
