Job Description

    Candidate will join the SWIFT Infrastructure Team responsible for running the suite of critical applications making up JP Morgan s gateway to the SWIFT financial messaging network. Our secure, high-performance messaging and API applications process millions of messages and trillions of dollars in payments every day and interface with hundreds of internal Line of Business applications allowing them to exchange SWIFT messages with counterparties across the globe.The successful candidate will take on the position of NFT Analyst / Performance Engineer to help support Non-Functional Test capability for complex, distributed financial messaging platforms. The role will require helping definition, implementation / execution of non-functional Test Strategy. Technical knowledge and the ability to work hands on as a technical expert are essential and the candidate is expected to deliver and to provide NFT services through excellence and subject matter expertise.Candidate will be hands on technical expert, and is expected to show technical expertise through excellence and subject matter expertise in area such as performance testing, load testing, DR testing, Security testing, and so forth.Key Responsibilities
    • Help in developing / maintaining the Non-Functional Test Strategy and review and deliver to the key metrics in the SWIFT messaging area.
    • Design the Non-Functional Test Cases and achieve sign-off from key SMEs in Design, Architecture and Development.
    • Produce Test Completion Reports and recommendations to the program for each Test Phase.
    • Provide regular progress and management information reports and represent the NFT Team at program level meetings on need basis.
    • Being part of team of dedicated Non-Functional Test Analysts / Performance Engineers providing an NFT capability for multiple distributed financial messaging system.
    • Plan and execute Non-Functional Test Phases comprising of Performance, Volume, Break, Soak, Stress, Recovery, Scalability and Security tests.
    • Analyze Results and trace back performance issues to specific components or pieces of code.
    • Responsible for creating, executing and maintaining repeatable tests.
    Qualifications External
    • You should have formal qualifications such as a degree in Computer Science and ISEB / ISTQB Software Testing certification.
    • At least 6+ yrs of work experience and at least 3 years performance testing / engineering in payments domain preferably in SWIFT platforms and domain.
    • Experience working in a Non-Functional Test / Performance Engineering role with strong technical and analytical skills.
    • Good working knowledge of Oracle databases and sound knowledge of Unix / Linux / AIX OS.
    • Must have knowledge of AGILE SDLC or MUST have worked in a feature team earlier.
    • Experience in testing middleware applications including MQ and Messaging Broker based systems.
    • Experience in monitoring system performance using tools such as DynaTrace, NMON, JConsole, Java Profiler and Wiley
    • You should have extensive experience in working with industry standard test tools: Jmeter, Blazemeter, Loadrunner etc.
    • Should have good understanding in UNIX and experience in one of the programming language core java, python
    • Experience in working with the Java Messaging Service (JMS) and should have the ability to read and debug Java code
    • Experience working on a large scale Financial Services Messaging Platform will be a big plus.
    • Previous experience in testing middleware applications including MQ and Messaging Broker based systems will be a big plus.
