Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a QA Manager based in our Mumbai Office. The position is in charge of the Quality Assurance around the Asset Management/Buyside of Calypso Technology Trading Solution. This is a tremendous opportunity to strengthen business, product, technical skills. Our group maintains the integrity reliability of the Buyside solution working closely with the Product Management and Engineering groups. An understanding of the release and software development lifecycle would be advantageous. The position requires someone with strong motivation and desire to work in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the monthly releases, determine list of deliveries, and provide QA due dates.
  • Ensure commitments on delivery dates.
  • Raise and communicate red flags.
  • Assign tasks to peers and follow-up on their performance.
  • Attend meetings for planning and new projects as well as weekly and monthly prioritization meetings for different subjects.
  • Ensure all new projects and bugs are automated.
  • Ensure automation delivery and run for each maintenance.
  • Ensure client bugs are tested and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Communicate QA availability.
  • Have a good understanding of Calypso business and processes.
  • Give accurate and clear reporting to higher management.
  • Update QA project planning in accordance with available resources.
  • Work closely with engineering, business analysts, and product support teams.
  • Organize trainings for peers and weekly team meetings.
  • Ensure timesheets are submitted and validated every week.
  • Validate vacation plans.
  • Update team and calypso documentation and test cases.
  • Manage peer s yearly reviews and compensation planning.

Skills and Requirements

  • Engineering or equivalent Graduate or full time MBA in finance from a reputed institute
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Finance preferably of Asset Management.
  • Very good Analytical Skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience on working with asset management within Product/Software company or Investment Bank.
  • Strong knowledge on different asset classes
  • Good knowledge on risk analyses, portfolio management and order management.
  • Worked as a Test Manager or Senior Business/QA Analyst within Development or QA function of a software company.
  • Ability to read complex BRD documents and participate in discussions with different stakeholders.
  • Experience with phases of the test cycle (Test planning, Test case development, Test execution: manual and automated, regression, system test user test, maintain existing test suites)
  • Understanding of Java code SQL scripts will be added advantage.

  • Ability to work independently in a technical and functional environment.
