Job DescriptionPosition Purpose:Supply Planning Manager is responsible for optimizing the balance of inventory across the plants by ensuring efficient plan, optimized costs, improved service levels and adherence to monthly/weekly production plan & inventory targets. Supply Planning Manager should lead the interface to manufacturing sites to resolve supply issues relating to the capacity utilization, production planning & inventory. Supply Planning Manager should lead the team of Site planners for managing planning & scheduling activities at plants.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Within Functional area

• Manage the 6-16 weeks sales forecast based on the final S&OP constrained plan and take the weekly inputs from sales managers if any changes in the demand.
• Responsible for Monthly & 6-16-weeks Master Production Schedule (MPS) for designated products. Circulate MPS at Grade/SKU level on weekly basis with plants.
• Resolve issues with the rest of the team for assessment and proper decision making and sharing
• Generate process orders for plant scheduling, grade/SKU level scheduling, on basis of the demand plan and agreed decisions for their specific product line and factories (after Symphony deployment)
• Generate stock transfer requisition for finished product flow between factories and between warehouses. And plan these movements for their specific product line and factories (exceptional cases)
• Lead monthly/weekly supply review meeting and performance reviews with demand planners, Sales, and Manufacturing team.
• Lead to resolve supply exceptions by expediting purchase orders, re-allocating existing inventory and establishing safety stock parameter
• Manages inventories to assure the highest level of customer service while achieving company inventory targets

Cross- Functional

• Interaction with factories (scheduling and warehouses to track daily/weekly performance regarding planning.
• Interaction with SI/OP team regarding balancing decision taken in the upper planning cycle
• Interaction with Demand Planning and PLM team regarding balancing decision taken and forecasts challenging.
• Interaction with Customer Care regarding supplying decision to our customers.

Education: Engineering / MBA preferableExperience:6 to 8 years in Supply Planning Position in Manufacturing environment.Knowledge & Skill Set:

• Supply chain planning/management processes and practices
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations
• Knowledge of logistics flows
• Ability to take pragmatic s decision
• Fluency in Business Communication
