Job Description

    About the Role: We are seeking a driven and experienced Automation Head to lead our IT service companys automation initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive automation strategy to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery across the organization.Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement a strategic vision for IT automation, aligning it with the companys overall business goals.
    • Identify opportunities for automation across various IT service areas, including provisioning, configuration management, patching, deployment, and service desk activities.
    • Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of automation tools (e.g., Robotic Process Automation (RPA), scripting languages).
    • Design and develop automated workflows and scripts to streamline IT processes.
    • Oversee the testing, deployment, and maintenance of automated solutions.
    • Collaborate with IT teams (development, operations, security) to ensure automation efforts are aligned with their needs.
    • Monitor and measure the success of automation initiatives, tracking key metrics such as efficiency gains, cost savings, and error reduction.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest automation trends and technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions.
    • Manage a team of automation specialists (if applicable), providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
    • 7 years of experience in IT operations, service desk management, or a related field.
    • 5 years of experience in designing and implementing automation solutions (RPA, scripting languages, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) methodologies (e.g., ITIL).
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to manage projects, track progress, and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership skills (if managing a team).
    Desired Skills Required:
    • Experience with cloud-based automation tools.
    • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
    • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
    • Familiarity with IT infrastructure management tools.
