Job Description

  • Location: Noida
  • Experience: 5- 7 Years
  • Strong in Installation, configuration and maintenance of AIX 5.3/6.1/7.1/7.2 Servers
  • Strong in pSeries configuration, HMC, LPAR, DLPAR and WPAR concepts
  • Strong in VIO concepts, configuration and implementation
  • Strong in Configuration and administration of Logical volume manager
  • Strong in Power HA Installation, Configuration and Maintenance
  • Good knowledge of Storage concepts and SAN environment
  • Good knowledge on NIM, OS upgrades and migrations
  • Good knowledge on System security and auditing
  • Good knowledge on Performance Tuning and Kernel Parameters
  • Scheduling Jobs, Printer, NIS, NFS, TCPIP and Samba administration
  • Strong in troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issues
  • Good knowledge of Live Partition Mobility and Data center migrations (p2p, p2v, v2v)
  • Backing up & Restoring File System on a Regular Schedule through tools like IBM TSM
  • Administration in VxVM and VCS cluster will be an added advantage
  • Writing and understanding of shell/perl scripts
  • Experience in Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes including Change Management
  • Administer Data Center with 24*7 support
  • Certification in AIX is mandatory
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, or related field preferred
  • Four or more years of experience with computer systems or networking
  • Experience working with computer hardware for installation and upgrades
  • Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures
  • Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures
Other Qualifications
  • Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work, and multitask
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems
  • Good communication skills to communicate with support personnel, customers, and managers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
