Job Description

As an integral member of Monotype s global agile delivery team, the EBS Administrator & Engineer will be responsible for analyzing user needs and software application requirements to determine the most effective end-to-end solution for our asset management systems, primarily Salesforce. This role supports the global Enterprise Business Systems team to deliver top-notch service to internal and external stakeholdersResponsibilities

  • Implement Salesforce configuration changes including Workflows, Process builder, validation rules, Visual flow, roles and permissions, custom objects and fields, page layouts.
  • Revise and develop Salesforce Reports and Dashboards in support of business user s requests.Monitors system queues for issues and requests for enhancement and assigns to appropriate system.
  • Operates as System Owner for selected systems to understand Product Owner requirements and translate to effective and efficient solutions.
  • Critically analyzes and vets solution alternatives to ensure proposed resolution is best for system, requester and company; also, ensures downstream impact to integrated systems is considered.
  • Applies knowledge gained about the business systems functionality and knowledge of standard/best practice business processes, to troubleshoot issues and recommends solution alternatives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Salesforce Apex development patterns and practices; develop Apex test classes, controllers and triggers
  • Work proactively to remove technical debt and security vulnerabilities
  • Identify data quality issues, develop cleansing strategies, work with data owners to gain consensus over data cleansing strategies, develop solutions or leverage existing commercial tools (e.g. Salesforce DemandTools), execute data cleansing, work with data owners to validate post-cleansing data quality
Requirements
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering and 5 years experience
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently while possessing sound judgment to seek supervision and assistance as needed
  • Understands and considers interdependencies between teams and systems to achieve company level results.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge/development of Web Services: Salesforce API (REST/SOAP/MetaData, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with developer console, Workbench and writing SOQL/SOSL queries
  • Ability to quickly acquire new technical expertise both within the Salesforce platform and in related technologies), application programming interfaces and ETL/ESB integration tools (e.g. Salesforce partners, SAP, Mule soft)
  • Possesses significant prior development experience on Force.com platform utilizing Apex, Visualforce and SOQL.
  • Recognizes which activities and objectives have the biggest impact on achieving the most important goals for their team and the company
  • Possesses a global perspective, including cultural and operational differences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
