Job Description

    Job DescriptionDevelop designs for other highway structures such as sign bridges and lighting supports. Analyze damaged bridges. Assess structural adequacy of existing bridges to withstand stresses due to oversized or overweight truck stresses to prevent damage or a bridge collapse.The core role and responsibilities are:
    1. Able to work with proper supervision to complete technical tasks. This may include understanding, clarifying and developing briefs; site surveys, structural inspections, site assessment, undertaking and presenting written feasibility studies; using appropriate design standards, code of practices and guides to design/strengthen or assess bridges structures.
    2. Should be able to read & understand the design & drawing of various types of bridge / other structures & related documents.
    3. Make recommendations for materials to use and safety measures to take oversee project management, like tracking budgets and maintaining a database of projects and their progress.
    4. Produce structural analysis calculations or inspection and assessment of quantity of various Items, rate Analysis, cost calculations and profit- loss calculations concept for bridge structures.
    5. Record and monitor costs during the design and construction process and report on the budget position.
    6. Provide site supervision during the construction phase of a project and effectively address any matters that arise.
    7. Provide workplace mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of staff to ensure they are able to develop the necessary skills to deliver in their role.
    8. Problem-solving skills to quickly address issues that arise on-site and keep projects on track.
    9. Project management and coordination with administrative operations.
