Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop clean, efficient, maintainable and extendable code
    • Perform code reviews and conduct unit testing to ensure standards are understood and being followed
    • Utilise your experience of responsive web design
    • Use your experience and initiative to suggest appropriate approaches, methods and technologies to use on projects
    • Collaborating with the other members of the Scrum Team to develop a seamless solution
    • Effectively communicating with the wider IT team and key stakeholders
    • Deliver a complete front-end application
    • Ensure high performance on mobile and desktop
    • Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML and CSS
    • Cooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API
    • Communicating with external web services
    • Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments
    • Ensure that the agreed Definition of Done is met for each requirement
    • Support automation testing
    • Set up and manage cloud environments and create test data
    • Participate in all Release Planning meetings
    • Attend all Scrum ceremonies
    Essential Skills/Experience
    • 5+ years C# experience
    • An excellent understanding of the C# language and the .NET Core framework (.Net Core 2.2)
    • Minimum 3yrs experience designing and building apps in AzureCloud-based development (Azure Functions, API Management)
    • At least 2yrs experience of working within a Scrum team
    • Demonstrable experience of web application API development
    • Solid experience of design and development of separately deployable microservices
    • Familiarity with Azure SQL and Azure Functions
    • Azure utilities such as the Azure CLI/Remote Manager/Templating
    • Experience of using Git source control
    • Experience of unit-testing frameworks, service level unit and integration testing
    • Experience of using Microsoft Azure DevOps, build pipelines, release management etc.
    • CI/CD build tooling and testing utilities
    • Experience developing and integrating a range of web services
    • Understanding of JSON, XML, Schema Documents
    • Strong understanding of RESTful services (JSON) and API Design
    • Ability to apply advanced debugging techniques
    • Understanding of how to build applications to be secure and responsive by design
    • Experience of performance analysis and tuning of complex multi-threaded applications
    • Good understanding of the application of SOLID principles
    • Clear ability to technically mentor, improve & inspire others as the team grows
    • Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
    • Strong customer focus, business knowledge and commercial awareness
    • Ability to develop effective working partnerships with internal (other Scrum Teams) and external teams
    • Good time management skills
    • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
    • Highly developed communication skills and proven ability to communicate clearly with other members of the Delivery Team
    • Having a good eye for detail
