Job DescriptionThe Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for Electronic component obsolescence management, Reactive and Proactive obsolescence management, Redesign for cost reduction and improved reliability, Redesign for obsolescence mitigation, Failure, and root cause analysis, Alternate component sourcing, limited software release support, and regulatory updates are common sustaining activities.Key Responsibilities Assess & create a Product Change Notification document for each change request/product defect. Root cause investigation of electrical issues that involves analysis of Schematics, board layout, assembly drawing and Bill of Materials. Assist in evaluating alternate components that are going in EOL, and lead design and qualification of alternate components at the system level. Create Module Requirements/Char Specification document for electrical modules Develop Test protocols which includes Module Verification plan report Execute module verification testing and log results Perform release activities includes Design Verification Review, Design History File (DHF) update and write Memos as needed Follow Philips QMS guidelines and update design history files per latest standard template Attend TEDs training to execute Project deliverables Work with Systems Engineering, Electrical and other cross functional team members to design electronic enclosures to meet system level functional and architectural requirements. Drive product development activities including development of design concepts, prototype testing, engineering specs, and module/system level tests. Drive continuous improvement projects related to design implementation, manufacturing process, product quality and reliabilityJob Requirements:Education Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university 5 years minimum of experience in product design and development.Skills Assess & create a PCN document for each change request/product defect assigned in TeamTrack Create a Requirements/Char Specification document Schematic, Assembly drawing and Bill of materials Test protocols which includes Module Verification plan & report Execute module verification testing and log results Perform release activities includes DVR, eMatrix DHF update and write Memos as needed Follow Philips QMS guidelines and update design history files per latest standard template Attend TEDs training to execute Project deliverable Methodical, effective troubleshooting/problem solving skills. Technical writing/ documentation skills for regulated medical device design environment, including requirements definition Self-motivated, able to carry out assignments with limited instruction, and efficiently plans, manages, and delivers development work for complex projects Capable of managing project work in alignment with internal processes
