Job Description

    Position KRA / AccountabilitiesProcurement of material for wiring harness assembly from China, Japan, US, Europe and South-East Asia. To release timely forecast, delivery schedules and Purchase Orders. Import ordering, scheduling and planning Price control based on Duty changes or RM price increase/Decrease Data management on Monthly purchase and price changes. Analyzing and working on shortages on weekly MRP sheet, Vendor Development. Periodic capacity verification with suppliers and follow-up with supplier to maintain supply as per schedule and ensure no line stoppages Handling approximately 2000 parts like wires, housing, terminal, grommet, seals. Material and Inventory Planning/Forecasting. Resourceful in global contract rates, pricing negotiations, arranging quotes for new projects and benchmarking the prices. Responsible for vendor development, vendor evaluation and vendor profiling. Releasing orders to suppliers as per MRP schedule, based on production requirement. Preparing the ordering forecast data for supplier based on marketing requirement. Preparing and analyzing weekly shortage requirements due to change in production requirement or supply schedule. Coordinating with suppliers for timely resolution and supply of material requirement. Order reconciliation on quarterly basis. Accountable for inventory management and inventory control. Inventory control of imported items as per defined inventory levels. Arranging quality documents like IMDS,PPAP and datasheets for parts gets newly introduced and getting them approved from quality team. Dealing with Sea & Air Import Shipment.
