The target is multiple foundries and process nodes down to 3nm, targeting circuits of high-quality, high speed and high accuracy.As part of Cadence, the Product Engineer will not only have access to all the current and future Cadence layout and verification tools, they will also participate in the development and validation of the Cadence Virtuoso software, which is the industry standard.As a Product Engineer, you will be involved in:

  • Implementing high speed and high accuracy cells, blocks and IP blocks with quality and efficiency
  • Collaborating between Cadence R&D teams and customers to help develop the layout editing and migration tools including generating Product Requirement Specifications (PRS)
  • Hold meetings to educate customers on how best to utilize the Virtuoso tools to meet their design and layout needs.
  • Debug any tool related problems with Virtuoso.
  • Collect feedback about any positives or negatives reported by the customer and provide inputs to R&D. File bug reports (CCRs) when needed.
  • Generate demoes and Rapid Adoption Kits (RAKs) as needed as necessary to train customers in the best practices to make them as efficient with the Cadence tools as possible.
  • Create SKILL based utilities for specific customer requirements that are not available generally in Virtuoso. Develop a plan to perform the necessary validation before providing the utilities to customers
  • Test newly implemented functionality based on these tests and provide feedback to R&D and drive any necessary changes.
  • Partner with the Product Validation (PV) teams to ensure proper validation of customer flows. Provide flow tests as required for regression testing
Qualifications
  • BSEE, MSEE
  • 5 years of industry experience
  • Understanding of layout effects on the circuit such as speed, capacitance, power and area etc.,
  • Knowledge of various analog layout techniques like matching, shielding etc.,
  • Exposure to Cadence Virtuoso Layout and physical verification tools
  • Team player, driven, self-motivated and autonomous
  • Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills
  • Experience with using Virtuoso especially the Virtuoso Layout Suite for connectivity driven layout. Experience with Virtuoso Analog Design Environment (ADE) a bonus.
  • Familiarity with the SKILL programming language and ability to write SKILL utilities. Experience with other scripting languages like TCL and PERL preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
