Monthly reporting of Issues and risk events related to functions in various forums and meetings. To support in embedding the overall risk culture across functions. What will you be doing Control Environment Overall responsible for designing & execution of Controls & governance for functions teams Facilitate & co-ordinate for implementation of Risk & control self-assessment (RCSA) for functions teams Organise & run Finance governance forums Monthly/Quarterly CRM (Control Review Meetings) Create and enhance control awareness across functions through trainings, workshops etc. Perform deep dives/ reviews to identify any potential control gaps & help business to mitigate them, if any Trusted advisor for various control policies & standards applicability, impact, adherence etc. Advise functions teams on Risk events, control issues etc. and help them to mitigate any discrepancies identifiedCompliance- Ensure compliance with applicable policies globally across functions (HR, CRES and Procurement) Act as Subject Matter Expert to ensure that all policies are interpreted and implemented as per Group guidelines Perform continuous governance and oversight and update Functions Leadership.Relationship management and leadership- Ensure effective interaction with onshore CCO Team, process owners, senior management and external auditors, keeping them informed of key risks and issues at all times and to ensure that services provided are in accordance with Barclay s risk and control frameworks Attend forums and meetings to review progress on various operational risk governance matters Senior Management and Stakeholders. Work with the global functions teams and any other Project team to integrate new activities into the Controls environment. Focus on developing, implementing and sharing best practices and building synergies. What we re looking for: Basic qualification with a minimum of 4 years of experience into risk management, internal controls. Experiance in Internal controls, Risk Management (prefarably in Big Four) in Financial Services Basic knowledge and understanding of the key accounting principles Good understanding of the COSO framework and its application to internal controls Ability to understand, implement and drive improvements to a risk & control framework for various functions Basic understanding of the banking Business is required Strong project and change management skills, strong analytical and quantitative skills Skills that will help you in the role: Excellent written and face-to-face communication skills Ability to communicate conceptually challenging massages in an effective manner. Manage conflicting demands and priorities through stakeholder engagement, effective planning and sound judgement Personal and interpersonal skills Ability to work on a number of deliverables at the same time Offer assistance without waiting to be asked, takes steps to keep stakeholders informed and delivers high quality support Take personal accountability for own activities and performance, ensuring the right people are involved to achieve a successful outcome Solution oriented approach Influencing skills / negotiation skills Proficient in use of MS Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power-point) A comprehensive knowledge, and practical experience, of the main operational processes within the business and a good understanding of the procedures and control framework.
