Job Description

Principal PM ManagerThe Office Media Group (OMG) has a simple vision to empower all Microsoft 365 customers to achieve more with media. Building and maintaining strong connections across location and time is critical in the world we live in, and the emotional power of media video, audio, and photos makes it perfect for fostering personal connections and sharing information. About the RoleOur team is looking for a Principal PM Manager to deliver best-in-class video experiences across Microsoft 365. We need an experienced PM Manager to help us define and deliver a new strategy that considers customer needs, business opportunity, and the E+D-wide Modern video strategy. This role will have a mix of long-term initiative ownership as well as responsibility to organize, collaborate, and drive investments within our tight-knit, highly-collaborative team of PMs, Designers, Engineers, Data Analysts, and Researchers. Youll need to build tight partnerships with teams across Office and OneDrive/SharePoint, and youll have impact and exposure at all levels of our organization. Your role will be to manage a team of PMs that drive video experiences and partner with the engineering teams and partners responsible for building the end-to-end experience to life.About the TeamEveryone in OMG plays an active role in defining and living our three team cultural values:

  • Partner closely with peers and leaders in OMG and across E+D to define and communicate a multi-year strategy and iterative release plan
  • Deeply understand customers and competitors, and use that knowledge to define solutions that solve real problems and create real delight
  • Build excellent, collaborative relationships with peers & partners across OMG, Office, and ODSP
  • Define and monitor success criteria and product health metrics
  • Track and report on the execution of all product deliverables
  • Manage and grow a team of PMs that report to you.
, Qualifications
  • Natural leadership skills and a dedication to leading by example
  • Excellent project management, collaboration, and communication skills
  • A history of working comfortably and confidently through ambiguity
  • Demonstrated commitment to identifying and solving problems for your team and customers
  • 6+ years experience as a Program Manager, Product Manager, or related experience
  • 3+ years experience managing people
