Job Description

    The primary purpose of this role is to provide consultation and technical advice on translating business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs. This includes facilitating the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise data solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This role serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise Data or Platform solutions. In addition, this role personally develops and delivers modules, stable application systems, and integrated enterprise Data or Platform solutions within various computing environments.Technical lead
    • Bachelors Degree and/or Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
    • At least 7+ years of experience in:
    • Data, BI or Platform Engineering, Data Warehousing/ETL, or Software Engineering .
    • working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)
    • IT developing and implementing business systems within an organization
    • Working with defect or incident tracking software
    • Writing technical documentation in a software development environment
    • Working with source code control systems .
    • Working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools .
    • Working with unix-like systems.
    • systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions Data Engineering .
    • At least 4+ years of experience in:
    • leading teams, with or without direct reports .
    • Writing code in Java,Scala,Python, SQL
    • Scripting Technologies like Bash, awk, and other unix features like cron scheduling, vim , jobs, services
    • Big data technologies : Hive, hdfs, spark, kafka, map reduce.
    • Build systems like maven, gradle or sbt.
    • OLAP on Hadoop, BI Architecting,
    • Popular big data workflow management systems like airflow/azkaban
    • Dashboard development using popular systems like looker, grafana etc.
    • Setting up pipelines to bring in the data into the data lake and how to do quality testing, partitioning etc
