Role Description: Proactive lead in development of Java applications as part of an Agile Scrum development team Collaboration with the team members in a distributed structure Elaboration of application requirements and dependencies Development of software that confirm to design models based on industry best-practice Development and execution of unit test scripts Developing Innovative and reusable components. Understanding and documenting the new technology requirements, doing Spikes/POCs. Participate in delivery and deployment of the Releases. Participating in creating/updating the release documents. Mentoring of junior team members Estimation of User Stories in a backlog Tracking/Updating progress of code development using Atlassian JIRA Adherence to committed delivery timelines. 7+ Years of relevant experience, comprising: - Strong programming skills in Java 8 with good command on Design Patterns, MultiThreading ,DataStructures, JSON and XML Processing - Expertise in, and having Extensive knowledge of Spring Framework including Spring Core,SpringBoot , Spring security, Spring AOP, Transaction Management - Well versed with Messaging Design Patterns and expertise on doing application development against JMS with AMQP protocol.( RabbitMQ and Oracle AQ as middleware desired) - Expertise in REST API development and testing including API specifications standards(OpenAPI) - Working knowledge of git,maven,linux/unix shell commands and scripts, SQL/PL-SQL,Jenkins,JIRA,Scrum based Agile In-depth knowledge and experience of designing and building application using Java and Spring framework Strong proven experience in Java 8 (core Java, concurrency) Good understanding and hands on experience on streams in Java. Strong understanding of Spring 5 with Spring Boot and Spring MVC. Good understanding of Spring Java config and profiles. Experience in migrating Java 7/8 applications to Java 11 would be a plus. Strong experience in developing the persistence layer using JPA/ORM. Hands-on experience with Oracle database Understanding of PL/SQL Proven experience of developing / integrating with REST-based services Understanding of Messaging services like IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ Experience in writing Unit tests using Junit/Mockito Experience in writing Automation tests using Cucumber/Serenity Experience of build tools like Gradle Or Maven Proven experience of delivering applications using Agile Scrum methodology and delivery tools Understanding of CI/CD pipeline implementations as delivered using Jenkins/GitLab Knowledge of the coding guidelines and code analysis tools like Sonarqube.
