*DescriptionThe successful candidate will be an essential part of the Hydro & Mechanical Solutions group with engineering and field support responsibilities for Turbine Mechanical solutions mainly in the North American power industry.Additional InformationDevelop and interpret mechanical installation drawings which include dimensional fits, tolerances, welding, and equipment assembly proceduresCreate 3D models and assemblies using software packages such as Inventor and Pro-Engineer. Create 2D drawings using design packages such as AutoCAD.Capture 3D point cloud data using CMM equipment such as Faro Quantum or Focus M70. Perform post processing of 3D point cloud data to be used for design engineering functions.Capable of selecting and sizing of hydraulic components such as valves, cylinders, servos, pumps, logic valves, etc.Demonstrate the ability to understand and follow a set of mechanical and electrical installation, calibration and testing instructions.Capable of inspecting and testing fabricated, machined, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipmentProvide technical direction to craft labor at industrial sitesMust be able to interface with our customers and influence customer relationships in a positive mannerMust have above average mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, and creative designMust have strong organizational, teamwork, and detailed note taking skills.Ability to work in high stress environments, *RequirementsThe position requires a four-year engineering degree (mechanical preferred) or the equivalent.Total Experience required is 5-10 years WHY EMERSON Our Commitment to Our PeopleWe invest in our employees to ensure they have the marketplace knowledge, skills and competencies to compete and lead in a global economy.
