Receive and sort incoming laundry items
Examine each item for stains, damages, or special care instructions
Operate sorting equipment
Load and unload laundry carts or hampers
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist in the maintenance and repair of sorting equipment, reporting any malfunctions
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
Keep records of sorted items, quantities, and any relevant information for inventory management or customer requests.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a laundry or sorting role is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of different fabric types and care requirements to ensure proper sorting and handling.
Attention to detail and ability to spot stains, damages, or special care instructions on laundry items.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy laundry bags or hampers, and maneuver sorting equipment.
Strong organizational skills to efficiently sort and categorize laundry items based on various criteria.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets without compromising quality.
Basic understanding of safety procedures and guidelines for handling chemicals and soiled items.
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other laundry staff.
