Job Description

    Key Accountabilities- Incubating and growing Non-Life Actuarial area- Identifying services that can be performed from ABS, create capability documents, plan and execute POCs, identify potential user of the services and create visibility around the same- Help Actuarial team at ABS to establish Thought Leadership in the Non-Life Actuarial area through thought papers, development of tools and platforms and other data solutions- Interacting with On-shore Partners on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming them into a solution framework.- Work on different Non-Life insurance engagements as per different Entitys requirements- Independently analyze project requirements to own and deliver pilot projects / initiatives with very high quality to establish support credibility with Group entities- Become a trusted partner for Group entities - engage for capability showcase including visiting entities for opportunity assessment, discussions and piloting solutions- Resolving client queries effectively and troubleshoot data issues immediately- Understanding business problems and translate the business information into dynamic and effective reports or dashboards to generate meaningful business insights- Coordinate with multiple support partners like IT, TA, Audit, Risk, L&D for smooth and compliant function while catering to teams growth, Knowledge/Competency buildingPosition Summary :- The resource would be a key member of the Actuarial Services team and would work in close collaboration with teams in entities- Play a critical role in setting up Non-Life Actuarial support (Data Management and Pricing in particular) for various Group entities- Support the delivery of pricing and portfolio management solutions, across multiple portfolios through data analysis and modeling- Demonstrate increasing knowledge of relevant actuarial disciplines and procedures to be able to provide first class service and insight to external and internal stakeholders- Building and maintaining robust pricing models and implementing pricing strategies that increase value to our partners by optimizing business performance in line with business objective.- Seeking and identifying opportunities to improve model performance through new data items or analytical techniques.- Developing robust data sets to ensure data adequacy and accuracy- Fortify existing BS Actuarial practice supporting globally where has a presence across Non-Life domainsCapability and Knowledge :- Proven experience and deep technical understanding of insurance pricing modeling techniques (GLMs or machine learning techniques)- Excellent understanding of Actuarial & Statistical techniques- Proven skills in following software packages- Emblem, Radar or similar- Coding language (R, Python, SAS, SQL, VBA)- Advanced Excel- Knowledge of Non-life insurance products and awareness of recent industry developments in Non-Life Actuarial domain- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders- Ability to work under pressure and use judgment to provide appropriate answers within required timescales- Strong problem solving skills - including evidence of using appropriate analytical techniques and draw conclusions from these to solve a range of business problem and to be able to organize, filter and augment data appropriately.- Experience mentoring and acting as role model for junior team member- Proven track record of communicating complex issues to business management- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time is required- Ability to work on an international environment is requiredSpecific position related experience :- Qualified Actuary - Fellow Member of Actuarial Society (India/UK/SOA)- 8+ years of work experience in Non-Life Insurance in Actuarial domain- Should be in a position to provide technical guidance to the Non-Life insurance team and be able to resolve any issues that arise so that deliverables are met- Ability to handle 8+ member team and more than 2 Partners,
