Job Description

This role is mostly an individual contributor role and has following responsibilities associated depending on the seniority/experience, would be leading and driving small implementation teams as well.Ability to drive solution, engagement, assignment independently with complete ownership for outcome driven solution offerings Skills and ability to train, mentor, influence and implement best practices, solutions and processes Ability to turn around ambiguous states to well defined scope of work and end state with clear articulation (both verbal/technical artefacts) in transition stages/milestones and drive implementation being a change and transformation catalystRole - Competencies, skills and experience desired (some are must to have, and some good to have depending on the previous played role and experience. Desired Full stack or T shaped skill sets)

  • Re-define Architecture, Create reference Architectures, Platform and systems reengineering models
  • Ability to identify technical Debt and refactoring across Solution Stack Applications/Infrastructure/Tools/Process
  • Automation expertise process/systems/integration/provision/test/deploy
  • Expertise in Configuration Management solutions and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process and tools
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure Services IaaS/PaaS : Computing, Networks, Storage and Security
  • Experience in the Agile, CI, CD, DevOps and Cloud technology/tool sets across categories (should have minimum one in most of the categories)
SCM (GIT, Bitbucket, GITHub, TFS,Subversion) Build (Ant/Maven/TFS) Repository management (Docker, Artifactory, Nexus) Containerisation (Docker, Swarm, Kubernetes) Logging and monitoring (Splunk, New Relic, Nagios, Dynatrace) Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Bamboo, TFS/VSTS) Testing (Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, Appscan, Fortify, Accunetix, Snort, XUnit, SonarQube) Deployment (XL Deploy, Octopus, Urbancode, Rundeck) Configuration Management and Environments Provisioning / Orchestration (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack, Vagrant) Collaboration, Workflow and project/Issue management (Jira, Stack, Pivotal Tracker, TFS) IaaS/PaaS and Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, OpenStack) Native Development Platforms (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) Excellent scripting knowledge and ability to design through Shell, Python, Ruby, Yaml
  • Should have proven experience in consulting, transformation and implementation of DevOps tools and technologies on premises, hybrid cloud solutions
  • An Agile practitioner having delivered projects/assignments and solution implementations using Agile practices in lines with SAFe/DAD or any otherproven standards
  • Should be able to lead the assessment, gap analysis, process improvement, and designing end state operating models for teams transforming to DevOps culture, solutions and platforms
  • Should be well versed with identifying, defining, measuring metrics and KPI across SDLC phases through tools and demonstrate value added performance baselines and continual improvements
  • Should have relevant certifications on J2EE/Microsoft/Middleware Stacks and preferably Cloud and DevOps
  • Ability to work and influence in cross functional teams with different mind sets, cultures, operating styles and decision making framework
  • Should be CALM champion: Culture, Automation, Lean, Measurement, and have ability to define robust governance and continual improvement frameworks in given assignments
  • Expertise in Architecture patterns Cloud, Micro Services, Layerd/n-tier like MVC, Event Driven
Should have experience in latest programming/scripting languages and frameworks,
