Do you want to design and build next generation business applications using the latest technologies Are you confident at iteratively refining user requirements and removing any ambiguity Are you motivated to work in a complex, divers and global environment We re looking for a software engineer to: work as an AIX Power Systems Specialist / Engineer with long-term experience in the AIX Area main responsibility is delivering Engineering Services & in some areas also 3rd level Support be responsible for preparing new AIX and other AIX based software builds perform release management and performance / problem analysis as well as project support in different areas take over the responsibility of the Midrange Software Repository (operation, management, further improvements) Take over the responsibility of the Midrange Activity Request Tool (Java based tool for managing database requests) build and execute automated test-cases (needs development/optimization of the automation processes) take care of change coordination (open, plan, close changes in Service Now, interact with affected parties) establish an increased remote execution and reporting functionality to support L2 out of PUNE collect base releases (download TLs, SPs, Fixes, RPMs, etc.) take on responsibility for vulnerability controls and meetings (needs to understand our environment and vulnerability impact for our systems) track vulnerabilities using JIRA supervising AIX-/Midrange-JIRA - open Releases / manage / collect Release Notes maintain monitoring and escalation configurations in internal toolsYour teamInfrastructure Core is a global organization within Group Technology Infrastructure & Security Engineering providing technology platforms to underpin our partners business applications. You will be part of the ECS team, which has a global footprint and works with clients and wider team members spread across the world. Together we drive consistency across business divisions and optimize operations and support costs, by providing timely, robust, cost effective solutions and products to our clients.You ll be working in the ECS Team, as part of the Technology division in Pune . You ll be part of the Midrange Infrastructure & Base SW Team located in Switzerland and India. Managing one of the largest Data Warehouse in UBS running on Power Systems with AIX & DB2 DPF, which hosts close to 300 applications. Your aim is to provide the best support to guarantee highest system stability, keep the system on an actual maintained level of firmware and OS., worked in similar positions before for minimum 8 years and have strong analytical capability to support a data warehouses in the Financial industry. analytical intellectual capability as well as several years of field experience with deep skills on Power System working with AIX & DB2, deep knowledge and experience with system infrastructure like HMC, NIM, PowerVM Virtualization, Security, Storage, SAN deep skills in scripting (ksh, perl) of operational relevant scripts, automation and ad hoc monitoring good skills in Java programming experience with system monitoring, incident and problem reporting, escalation (3rd level support, Vendor Calls), performance management (together with operations & database engineering) very good skills around Power systems and infrastructure config settings/parameters (network / adapter settings) experience in regular generating automated/requested reports e.g for Audit, Compliance close involvement/co-operation with global clients & colleagues experience with automation and monitoring solutions (e.g Nagios, Ansible) to be able to develop new automation procedures, knowledge around packaging, Release Mgmt and relevant automation solutions broad knowledge of AIX and Risk and Compliance tooling preferably previous experience working in complex infrastructure projects
