This Position is a part of the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence in Materials Excellence function directly reporting to the Manager - Materials. Primary role is to drive multiple inititives around Inventory Management, SIOP, Supply Planning, Process Benchmarking & Standardisation, Value enhancement & Digitalisation in areas of businesses globally & delivering solutions accordingly. This role will provide a functional impact in achieving Strategic objectives of the Materials function in execution of high impact global projects in alignment with the Global Materials Strategy and in alignment with the Global & Business SCM Leadership. Key responsibilities include Functional & Business Impact supporting Global businesses (All 7 Businesses in Electrical & Industrial Sector)Job Responsibilities-1.To drive excellent collaboration with the Global SCM & Respective Business SCM Leadership through communication & presentation skills to align with the objectives of the respective Business Group & Global strategies. 2. Specific focus on inventory profile, Project ACE, Lead Time reduction, SIOP Deployement & Process Standardisation. 3. Digitalisation focus includes Utilisation of Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Query etc.), Python & relevant tools/systmes to add a value. 4. Identify improvement initiatives around: Invenrory Reduction, supplier OTD, Customer OTD, Supplier Lead time reduction, MOQ Reduction, and deployment of KANBAN, SIOP, MPS, Min-Max etc. 5. Being a passionate member of team of functional experts who will be driving global cost initiatives & projects with core functional skills and competencies to meet business requirements. 6. Deploy strong functional rigor through identifying improvement areas, improving existing processes with a Continuous Improvement approach to ensure that the majority of tools & processes are standardized & can be deployed to all businesses globally. In parallel, focus on business-specific unique solutions/models to meet unique & key requirements. 7. Process robustness through QMS processes to drive strong Escalation Management, Root Cause Analysis, Quality Check, Risk Analysis and mitigation, Skill & Competency Development 8. To drive Continuous Improvement and demonstrate high impact and Positive turnaround of the issues. 9. Drive functional excellence & develop a culture of give us a problem in Materials & we will deliver a solution 10. Work closely with Businesses stakeholders and IT teams to recommend customized solutions in ERPs based on business model. 11. Communicate regularly at all levels of the organization and ensure smooth & effective delivery of projects. 12. Global player strategically aligned with GMC (Global Materials Council) & respective businesses.QualificationsQualifications, Years and area of experience required -1. Should be Engineering Graduate (Preferably into Mechanical/Production/Automobile) with APICS CPIM Preferred OR graduate of business program (business management, supply chain, operations, business analytics) with CPIM Preferred2. 6 to 10 years of relevant experience into Materials Planning, Inventory Optimization & Control, SIOP (S&OP) Should have working knowledge of Power platforms (Power BI etc.), Preferred to have Python & R knowledge. Should have strong functional knowledge & working experience related to Materials management, Understanding of different planning policies / strategies, Supplier Management, detailed understanding of concepts related to replenishment planning, SIOP, MRP/ material planning & Inventory performance measures like Forecasting Accuracy & DOH, Finance & accounting terms & methodologies. strong analytical skills combined with the ability to see the big picture at a project or business level & identify the right balance between conflicting metrics (cost, service, inventory.) Global savvy & must have experience in leading global projects having cross functional & cross continent senior leaderships. Able to forge relations at all levels, collaborate internally & externally & work in matrix reporting structures. Project Management skills: establish project plan with key milestones & timelines; good presentation skills (written and verbal) to report out on project. Able to make recommendations to business teams based on functional expertise and strong analytics.
