Job Description

Application Developer

  • Develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations as required by the business
  • Analyze and communicate technical impacts of proposed or existing integration designs
  • Create supporting integration documentation detailing system integration specifications, system processes, and field mapping as needed
  • Transfer knowledge of Workday integration and Workday Studio to team members
  • Provide ongoing application maintenance and support
  • Represent the team in meetings with stakeholders
  • Perform key maintenance activities and project tasks, including requirement elicitation and analysis, functional design, standard and custom configurations, documentation, functional testing, and release support
  • Provide functional validation and support for scheduled maintenance outages, environment refreshes, and quarter-end activities; occasionally, this will need to be done outside of core business hours
Required skills
  • 3+ years of experience working as a workday integration consultant
  • 3+ years of experience integrating Workday with internal systems and third-party service vendors
  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of Workday custom reports, EIB, Core Connectors, document
  • transformation, Workday Studio, and third-party payroll integrations
  • Familiarity with Web Services, EDI, XML, XSLT, Java, or .Net integration technologies
  • Direct experience building and debugging Workday integrations, including EIB,
  • Connectors (PECI, WECI, JECI, CCGW, etc.), and Workday Studio, and creating Workday custom reports, calculated fields, and XSLTs
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce.com (SFDC), or other Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Ability to work as part of a team and focus on customer success
  • Demonstrated integration experience in HR- related domains like onboarding and offboarding, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, etc.
  • Experience creating detailed system interface specifications, field mapping, and system process designs
  • Experienced in waterfall and agile development methodologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate across several workstreams
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot
  • Ability to work on your own and handle multiple priorities
The following are considered a plus:
  • Experience using middleware technologies
  • Module-specific certification
  • 2+ years of professional experience implementing or supporting Workday
  • Basic knowledge of Linux
