Job Description

About the job

Application Management (AM) supports and manages business applications for Alfa Laval world-wide from our three regional hubs located in the US, Sweden, and India.

The Manager of Application Management GITDC will:

  • Lead, inspire, motivate, and develop each individual and challenge them to reach their highest potential focusing on customer and service-oriented behaviour.
  • Assume overall accountability for the quality of deliveries by GITDC AM
  • Drive business system roll-outs and upgrades, and/or mitigates risks and issues
  • Assume full responsibility for budget and financial performance of the GITDC AM
  • Define individual and team goals, and undertake regular tracking and control. Drive actions and behavior in accordance with the company values
  • Lead staff retention, performance management, talent management, and new hiring activities
  • Implement productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives in existing and new teams
  • Manage vendor relationships, agreements and performance

Work Place & Hierarchy

The position is located in Pune, India. The position will have solid line reporting to the Manager, Global IT Delivery Center, and a dotted line reporting to Manager, Global Application Management within IT Operations.

Candidate Profile :

  • Excellent leadership and people management skills. Proven experience in setting up and managing global teams
  • Must possess strong integrity and ethics, and be dedicated to developing a strong, diverse, and collaborative organization.
  • Proven business and financial acumen
  • Practical experience implementing Lean/Agile/DevOps/SAFe
  • Practical experience working with ITIL, primarily Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Team / People oriented with a global-mindset, thrives in multicultural environment
  • Innovative with ability to develop and implement ideas and strategies
  • Dynamic, initiative-driven, persistent, reliable and goal-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills in the English language, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of Hindi and other local Indian languages will be an advantage

Personal Background :

  • You will be a creative, results-oriented leader who is particularly adept at balancing multiple priorities and issues.
  • You must have at least 12 years of post qualification experience in IT-industry, with at least 4 years management experience in shared service, IT Operations or similar function
  • Must have international experience, preferably in managing delivery of services in a global, multicultural environment
  • Must possess an exceptional level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
