Job Description

    • Conducting DFM / Technical feasibility for 3D Model & 2D drawing with R&D and supplier.
    • Ensuring right Casting Model development & mould flow simulation with tool makers & casting suppliers.
    • Planning & execution of Casting die / mould development with tools makers
    • Setting & freezing of casting & machining process parameters for production
    • Establishing & signing off the X-Ray & radiography requirement for the casting part
    • Development of parts / product in HPDC (High pressure die casting) , LPDC (Low pressure die casting )& GDC (Gravity die casting ) casting processes
    • Prepare and examine required Fixtures, Tools & Gauges design & ensure the development for same as per required quality & part/product requirements.
    • Establishing the machining program and parameters for the VMC, CNC, HMC.
    • Supplier capacity assessment & ramp up to the required rate of production.
    • Material & tool cost estimation, settlement and sign off as per required budget with supplier & sourcing.
    • Ensure first time right development & quality for the part / product.
    • Identifying & implementing the cost reduction, VA/VE ideas & methodology
    • Plan & execute required processes at supplier in casting, Machining, Measuring & Test equipment.
    • Plan & Prepare production & quality documents viz. Process flow diagram, Control Plans, FMEA & Conduct MSA studies at supplier.
    • Ensure first time right PSW & PPAP.
    • Assessing the part development and supplier as per APQP gateways & milestones.
    • Supplier identification, assessment and selection.
