The ideal candidate will have strong overall infrastructure experience, with extensive SAN and SAN Switches skills. The core purpose of this role is to build and support the storage infrastructure supporting our Hosting and Managed Services business, which provides clients with outsourced IT, hardware and application management by leveraging our leadership in managed services and disaster recovery.This role will involve some elements of third line application support to both our clients and in-house staff. The successful candidate will gain experience of a wide variety of up-to-date technologies whilst working to structured deployment processes at some of the world s leading data centre facilities and large blue-chip organisations. This is a technical position where applicants must show initiative and be able to problem-solve in an unsupervised environment.Shift : 24/7What you bring:Experience with Veritas Netbackup tool.Experience with Brocade SAN switches.Experience with SAN storage (HP-3PAR),Experience with server hardware Dell and HP.Strong HP Blade Chassis c7000 and Virtual Connect Manager skills,Strong analytical troubleshooting skills.Strong understanding of SSL, Internet (SMTP, DHCP, DNS) and other networking protocols.Proven experience performing systems engineering and administration with large scale systems.Proven experience working within SLA s and an ITIL v3 framework.Professional and responsible attitude with the ability to work without supervision.Excellent communication and follow-up skills, paying strong attention to detail.What you will be doing:Provide IT infrastructure monitoring and support for internal and external clients; setting up IT environments, platforms, technologies and solutions to support the business.Work with the Infrastructure architecture and Project manager teams to plan out complex IT infrastructure deployments.Planning out configuration ready for installation.Testing configured solutions.Proactive Maintenance of the infrastructure systems.Skills : Veritas Netbackup, Brocade, VMware VCP, SAN Storage, DR, ITIL v3 frameworkAdded bonus if you have:
