Job Description

Ensures that situations are identified before they escalate into conflict / litigation.
Ensures that response is quick, appropriate and situations are mitigated as much as possible.
Ensures adequate preparation at all levels for litigation / conflict if unavoidable.
Participates in the review, evaluation, investigation and adjustment of all patient complaint.
Participates in the development of plans for Risk minimization.
Reviews patients medical records for legal / risk management.
Evaluates investigates and process complaints involving patients, visitors, employees, students, and others. Be first responder to resolves difficult and sensitive inquiries / complaints.
Provides risk management education.
Performs any other work assigned by the Deputy Director Medical Services.
