Within IE Operations, the service unit Business Infrastructure Operations (BIO) is responsible for 24x7 operations of important and critical SAP systems and applications embedded in an international delivery approach. BIO runs all operating systems (Windows, Linux) and databases (HANA, ASE, MSSQL) on on-prem, IaaS on Public (Azure) and Private (Converge Cloud based on Openstack) cloud Infrastructure. BIO works in close collaboration with SAP development and porting teams as a trusted partner to implement the latest and greatest product releases which serve as reference to SAP customers. The teams are distributed globally and located in Germany, India and Mexico. We are looking for a Team member to perform 3rd level Cloud Platform Enablement team from Pune region.The RoleOperations are focused on high available infrastructure landscapes (cloud, server cluster, operating systems with support of storage systems). Driving continuous improvement is one main lever to increase operation availability and efficiency. Infrastructure landscape re-architecture and new technology adoption is another important part. Global thinking and a strong customer focus are essential.As Specialist, you are responsible for:

• Conceptual design, configuration and administration of server landscapes with focus on Linux and Windows Operating systems.
• Conceptual design, configuration and administration of server landscapes with focus on IaaS Platforms on Azure, Openstack, AWS etc.
• Drive innovation to optimize, automate and standardize the operational delivery processes
• Managing the daily operations, ensure high availability.
• OS and Cloud Concepts on Compute, Storage, Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability and disaster recovery concepts, database replication, DNS and understanding of Network Topology.
• Strong collaboration with other support teams within and outside IE Operations.
• Strong alignment and close cooperation with internal customers and partners.

Role Requirement

• Bachelor s or master s degree or equivalent, preferably in computer science or information technology field of study with minimum of 7 years of experience.
• ITIL Certified / experience in driving Process governance model (Incident, Change and Problem mgmt.)
• Ability to work in an agile development environment and capable of working effectively in cross-cultural global teams.
• Advanced technical background and administration experience for server operating systems (Linux / Windows).
• Practical Work Experience on SUSE Linux, Redhat Linux, Windows, openstack is must.
• Advanced technical background and administration experience of IaaS (Azure, Openstack, AWS, Google, etc ) is must.
• Experience securing infrastructure in public cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud security/governance tools.
• Practical experience with creating a secure design process and DevSecOps-based CI/CD pipeline.
• Scripting experience (Perl, Shell, bash, ruby, powershell) is plus.
• Experience with Infrastructure automation tools like Chef / Ansible, Terraform, Packer is plus.
• Practical experience with Cluster & HA solutions (Pacemaker Linux HA, MS Cluster, HSR etc.) is plus.
• Experience on large, non-homogeneous landscapes (> 1000 server).
