Job Description

*The cloud security operations engineer has a primary purpose to provide global top-tier operational support covering public cloud technologies to Emerson teams that host product applications and services in the public cloud as both PaaS and SaaS solutions. This position also provides guidance to product development teams on cloud architecture, network, security, deployment patterns, and best practices developed by the Emerson Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). Fulfilling this function requires a strong understanding of public cloud technologies, network, security, application development and excellent communication and collaboration skills. Overall, this role acts as a bridge between the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and Emerson s product development teams.PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills covering a wide variety of technology stacks
  • Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity threats, attacks and vulnerabilities
  • Demonstrate expert level understanding of firewalls, security tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks covering both ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2
  • Expertise in identity and access management technologies and secrets management solutions
  • Working knowledge of network and security with respect to both Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Good understanding of cloud architectural patterns
  • Demonstrated experience with network and security engineering
  • Ability to communicate architectural patterns to product development teams
  • Good understanding of product/application development
  • Fundamental understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes using Terraform and Ansible
  • Works effectively in a global environment
, *RequirementsEDUCATION/LANGUAGEBachelors degree in CS, MIS or related technology/engineering discipline preferred or equivalent experience required.EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
    • Three (3) years of demonstrated work experience in cloud operations
    • Three (3) or more years working in a network and security engineering discipline
    • Three (3) or more years with direct working experience with MS Azure and/or AWS required
    • Security+ Certified
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
    • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Experience providing escalated operations support required
    • Good communication and collaboration skills
