Job title: Logistics CoordinatorJob SummaryThe Logistics Coordinator develops, organizes and manages the international transportation (Import/Export/High seas sales) functions for PolyOne facilities and warehouse locations. Individual will also manage dealing with Customs/Customs House Agents (CHA), DGFT, GST Authorities from time to time for any EXIM related activity.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with procurement, sales & customer service team to review import & export shipping orders and ensure it is shipped on a timely basis.
  • Required daily interactions with: Transportation companies, all levels of Company management, other employees, customers & relevant external agencies, customs, DGFT, etc.
  • Obtain and distribute international freight quotes; filing and retention of freight quote details.
  • Arrange Transportation for International Shipments.
  • Prepare Shipping Paperwork.
  • Scheduling of international shipments with Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines and Courier agencies
  • Prepare shipping documentation required for individual shipments.
  • Close coordination with CHA for timely clearances without any detention or demurrage payment.
  • Validation & processing of freight & CHA bills in preparation for payment of invoices.
  • Reporting: Preparation of reporting the tracking of Late Shipments from company locations, MIS for customs clearance & DGFT related matters, analysis of freight per Kg for import & export shipments on a monthly basis.
  • Working in close coordination with Department Supervisor to ensure that Customer Orders can be shipped complete and on a timely basis.
  • Work with Department Supervisor to maintain approved carrier list and ensure that all shipments are transported via these approved carriers.
  • Coordinate with consultants & respective government agencies for duty drawback, SVB, MEIS, RodTEP, EPCG, Advance license, deemed export DBK or any such export or import benefit that organization is eligible for.
  • Propose cost saving opportunities in EXIM related activities & implement it in coordination with functional supervisor.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate in any stream. Further education in foreign trade will be an added advantage Professional work experience more than 7 years for similar role.
  • 3 years experience in managing all types of EXIM related activities in a large manufacturing industry or large size CHA firm.
  • Candidate from Polymer, Pigments and chemical industry will be preferred

  • Strong competencies in using Microsoft Outlook, MS Excel
