Job Description

Position - Data Engineer Experience 6+ years Work Timings - 12:30 PM - 09:30 PMSkills Stack:

  • Mandatory skill sets: MongoDB, ETL (any tool) and RDBMS MY SQL or PostgreSQL or Oracle or SQL Server (2 nd preference), Kafka and / or Spark.
  • Good to have skill sets: Python or Java Script.
Skill and Responsiblity Details:
  • Set up data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources, such as logs, telemetry and platform APIs
  • Create processes that analyze data to produce meaningful and actionable information
  • Review application data usage and suggest performance optimizations and indexing strategies
  • Create methods to access data, such as APIs or caches, that improve efficiency and reduce latency
  • Apply data fixes in a timely manner in order to resolve customer issues Collaborate with product owners, solutions architect and software engineers to understand business requirements and design the data architecture to support those requirements
  • Discuss best practices and approaches with software engineers and positively influence the outcomes
  • Propose and implement data security and privacy best practices Automate routine tasks or time-consuming processes
  • Review and maintain data access controls Communicate status of projects and tasks regularly and as requested to manager and colleagues
  • Monitor industry trends and innovations and suggest ideas that would benefit the company Actively engage in enhancing existing skills and learning new skills
  • Present technical plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner, with the aid of charts and diagrams if necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of the database setup and architecture
  • DBA CRUD operation for NoSQL & SQL; Mongo Query Language, SQL
  • Strong NoQSL MongoDB experience, including multi-step and multi-collection aggregation pipelines
  • Knowledge of best practices for indexing and monitoring the health of MongoDB clusters
  • Scripting ability for automation of DB tasks; JavaScript & bash shell scripting
  • SQL RDBMS experience, preferably MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Docker knowledge to set up manage databases as containers.
  • Be able to assist with database drivers in application server Dockerfiles
  • Experience in building data-pipelines, data-ingestions, data-integrations, data-lakes
  • Expertise in differences between self-hosted and managed databases
  • Experience with any cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Experience with streaming technologies, such as Kafka
  • Experience with big data technologies, such as Spark
  • DBA experience for administrative tasks; account management, backup/restore, indexing, etc.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end lifecycle of data projects
  • Familiarity with industry strategies and best practices, including around data security
