Job Description

Job briefWe are looking to hire a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to assist our clients with computer hardware and software issues. You will be required to work on-site or via remote connection and assist with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and basic IT-related issues.To ensure success as a Desktop Support Engineer, you should have extensive knowledge of home and office systems, good problem-solving skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. A top-class Desktop Support Technician provides fast and effective support for clients experiencing basic hardware and software issues.

  • At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience on Windows 10 technologies.
  • Configure internal systems including office 365.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to end-user hardware.
  • Work on Desktop / Laptop issues (in domain environment).
  • Experience on installing and troubleshooting McAfee antivirus / Disk Encryption.
Responsibilities:
  • Responding to client support requests.
  • Contacting clients to find out the nature of the problem.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals.
  • Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software.
  • Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking.
  • Advising on software or hardware upgrades.
  • Providing basic training in computer operation and management.
  • Completing job reports and ordering supplies.
  • Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems.
  • Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting.
  • Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue.
  • Customize desktop applications to meet user needs.
  • Record technical issues and solutions in logs.
  • Follow up with users to ensure their systems are functional.
Desired Skills:
  • Graduation from any discipline.
  • ITIL Foundation certified.
  • Work experience as a Support Engineer.
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10, MAC.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused on high-pressure situations.
  • Passion for developing technically and keeping pace with the industry.
  • Self-driven and focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Good soft-skills skills.
  • Well organized with the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
