• The candidate will be resposnsible for leading development of discrete-event simulation models and driving innovation in simulation modeling enabling various use cases in order to develop data-driven, profitable plant operations
• The candidate will be responsible for evaluating and supporting manufacturing operations through discrete event simulation modelling which also includes data mining of historical manufacturing operations, build statistical performance profiles of manufacturing assembly activities and develop simulation to drive optimization in plant operations
• The candidate will be resposnible to perform what-if analysis on plant operations, identify opportunities to improve cycle time, support factory operations in reduction of non-value added steps by tools such as value-stream maps (VSM), statistical analysis, & simulation
• The candidate will be responsible to work interactively with plant Industrial Engineers, manufacturing supervisors, production specialists, Industry 4.0 champions, etc. to define and interactively build targeted solutions

QualificationsRequirement:

• Bachelor s/Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer science or software engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics
• 2+ years of progressive experience in discrete event simulation, software development, UI/UX development
• 1 years working with customers (internal and external) on developing requirements and delivering insights to plant leadership
• Bachelor s/Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer science or software engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics
• Experience with one or more simulation software tools such as ProModel, FlexSim, Simio, AnyLogic, Arena, etc.
• Experience in applying Discrete Event Simulation in manufacturing environment, warehouse simulation and logistics simulation
• Basic statistics knowledge
• Experience with one or more coding languages such as C/C++, VBA, Python, JSON, JavaScript, Angular JS, Node JS, AJAX and Jquery
• Experience with one or more data gathering tools such as SQL, Tableau Prep, etc.
• Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Passion for advancing Industry 4.0 and, simulation technology in particular, within manufacturing
• SW Development life-cycle process & tools
• Agile development methodologies and concepts including handson with Jira, bitbucket and confluence.Desired:
• Knowledge of UI/UX development, full stack development
• Knowledge on ML/AI algorithm development and discrete event simulation using ML algorithms is plus
• Data mining and extraction from multiple database servers and technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop)
• Discrete Event Simulation algorithms including resource capture and allocation, queuing, and post simulation analysis

Soft skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts as a part of virtual, global teams
• Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to understand plant operations, Industry 4.0 concepts and collaborate with plant engineering teams
• Experience of working with global teams, team player- we work in small, fast moving teams.
