• Provides leadership for the team to meet its short and long term goals.
• Recruit and retain a team of engineers and support staff to provide both local product development and engineering services to the Global engineering needs.
• Train, develop & motivate subordinates to achieve their professional goals & review their accomplishments
• Understand stakeholder requirements and communicate them to other Eaton teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.
• Develop and control the schedule and direct the work in order to effectively manage time.
• Identify competencies and personnel needed to complete projects.
• Monitor progress & achievements on projects. Provide regular reports on development & support activities.
• Provide expert resolution of issues and monitor integration of work.
• Review technical concepts of all electronics projects including equipment specification and design.
• Synergies and leverage engineering capabilities across groups.
• Manage department budget and performance to forecast
• Manage and develop people: identify, attract and develop key engineering tlent for the organization.
• Champion continuous process improvements to support the Eaton Business Systems like performance evaluation, DFSS, FMEAs.

QualificationsRequirement:

• BE-Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Desired: Master s Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Communication Engineering.
• Minimum 13-15years years of embedded systems firmware & controls design experience
• Minimum 4 years of experience in engineering leadership role.
• Extensive years of experience in C/C++
• Strong knowledge of Embedded Systems & SDLC
• Familiarity with control and signal processing techniques.
• Solid knowledge of Matlab and Simulink Stateflow environments.
• Experience with Complex control algorithms and simulation techniques to evaluate alternate concept designs.
• Strong background in memory and resource-constrained real-time embedded environments.
• Hands on experience on various Communication protocols applicable to vehicle domain
• Led the development and delivery of at least two real-time embedded control products.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes, methods and tools Change management process
• Experience collaborating with local / global suppliers for prototype developments, external labs for testing etc.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills. A high degree of aptitude, creativity, and self-direction is required. Proven experience on Talent management (Hire, Develop, Retain), resource allocation and project management.

Desired:

• Experience working with HILS environment like dSPACE, ETAS.
• Analytical Modeling of dynamical systems.
• Awareness of DFSS tools like FMEA.FMECA, Monte Carlo Analysis etc.
• Demonstrated experience with Vehicle Power train control and software design and change management experience
• Demonstrated expertise in Matlab/Simulink/RT-Workshop tools
• Some knowledge of various software specification and design tools such as UML.
• Experience with Jazz platform for managing change requests.
• Awareness of AUTOSAR Architecture

Special Skills:

• Knowledge of Requirement management tools preferably DOORS.
• Experience with automotive power electronics controls and software.

• Experience with Inverter electronics and motor controls
• Familiar with application software such as motor controls, global charging standards (EN, IEC, SAE, GB / GBT)
• Knowledge of software quality tools and concepts
• Experience with inverters, on-board chargers, or dc converters
• Program or project management experience
• Full V-cycle SW experience (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Validation)
