• Responsible for the Visionplus batch solutions linked to application releases for the Barclaycard environment.
• Execute the technical delivery of VisionPlus batches ensuring delivery to the timescales cost, quality and service standards to clients.
• Assist in the VisionPlus requests to support efficient, maintainable, secure and smooth batch execution processes for build, test, and Pre-prod environments.
• Extract depersonalized data from LIVE to integrate data with the wider bank processes.
What will you be doing
• Maintain close working relationships with key stakeholders
• Manage client expectations and demands while maintaining excellent client relationships.
• Ensure working practices are within the Bank s policies and procedures
• Identify and manage risks in the day to day activities, and report these to line management in an appropriate manner
• Responsible for execution of VisionPlus batch service within BI Infrastructure for Barclaycard Mainframe Applications
• Manage demands to run daily batches for OAT & Hotfix environment by supporting batch runs along with adhoc activities, abend resolution, LDE Region refresh etc.
• To aid in achieving quicker Time to Market and at the same time to have a consistent foundation & a matured capability of Vison Plus mainframe stability across all Germany estate.
What we re looking for:
• Experience of working within an ITIL service management frame work
• Strong domain knowledge in Cards, banking or financial sector.
• Experience of JCL, CICS, COBOL, MIcroFocus, Reflection, DB2 and VSAM
• Understands and has exposure to the full development lifecycle
• Should have good functional as well as technical knowledge of VisionPLUS systems. Expert and hands on with FAS and batch processing.
• Takes prompt action to rectify/escalate problems within area of responsibility
• Other than primary skills of TRAMS & CMS; good to have expertise in VMX and MQ.
• Ensures own technical competencies and specializations are kept up-to-date in line with industry developments.
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience with RACF, REXX & CLIST
• Experience of Vision Plus, Batch Run via TWS scheduler
• Good to have knowledge on shell scripting and VB scripting
• Experience in serving customers from the finance/banking/cards domain
• Sound knowledge of & hands-on work experience in
• Mainframe Skills Cobol, JCL, VSAM, ESDS, CICS and REXX
• Tool set Easytrieve, Xpeditor, Fileaid, Endeavor, etc
• Scheduler TWS
