The Facility Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling activities related to the Facility Maintenance Department. The Manager ensures that maintenance services are performed in a timely, safe and efficient manner in order to maintain a comfortable environment, for patients, team members, medical staff and the public.The successful candidate will be able to:Manage and coordinate the work of all assigned staff in maintenance; plan and assign work and work schedules, and conduct performance evaluationsPossess a strong working knowledge of related regulatory requirements including, TJC, CMS, NFPA, etc., and apply those requirements to plans, policies, procedures and other activitiesConduct random safety inspectionsCarry out regular inspections of building and facilities to ensure they are operational and efficient and that regulatory, accreditation and safety requirements are metKeep director informed of day-to-day activities and projects in plant maintenanceConducts proper follow through on all work order requests and facility maintenance issuesResponsible for all maintenance contracts and services as representative on property managementManage and support performance improvement activities for the medical centerMaintain required records, reports and statistics for projectsAssist in overseeing construction and renovation projectsProvide for staff recruitment, selection, training, supervision, evaluation and disciplinary actionDevelop and facilitate appropriate programs of maintenance and repair of all facility sites to include buildings, HVAC systems, water systems, waste water systems, contracted services, and state and local coding pertaining to each individual siteMaintain adequate inventories of, tools, supplies and parts to accurately repair all facility equipmentOversee the operation of appropriate programs of proper care of the site grounds, lawns, roads, parking lots, and snow removalPerform any and all other duties as assigned
