Job Description

    JD for a Support engineer (G2/G3)Responsibilities
    • Timely perform the required deployments across environments/platforms for different applications.
    • Run tests scripts, analyze and report failures to development team.
    • Be able to trouble shoot issues in the application built on IBM MQ, DB2, IBM WebSphere
    • Effective communication and co-ordination with multiple groups such AD, QA, RM.
    • Automate Day to day activities like deployments, health-checks, housekeeping jobs using scripting language.
    • Document all issue resolutions with proper RCA
    • Make sure all environments across Dev/QA are in healthy state at any point of time
    • Address tickets within SLA, without escalation.
    • Participate in org level technical/non-technical events
    Technical Skills
    • Minimum 6+ years of experience in software build, deployments, support activities
    • Experience in supporting applications built in Java / C++ / python
    • Knowledge of Python scripting, Linux Shell scripting along with Linux admin skills
    • Knowledge on IBM MQ, IBM WebSphere, IBM DB2 as a support engineer good to have
    • Experience in writing basic sql queries
    • Good knowledge across tools like GIT, JIRA, Jenkins/Bamboo
    • Experience on Release Package Preparation, Release Document Preparation
    • Person should be aware about CIT/UAT/SIT/QA environments
    • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts
